LA LETTERA AGLI EBREI

[Letture dal Nuovo Testamento], IPL, Milano 1981, pp. 246

The Letter to the Hebrews presents Jesus as high priest of the new messianic liturgy. His death on the cross is seen as the ultimate revelation, the exercise of a perfect priesthood, and as the one and final sacrifice. The death of Jesus seals the new covenant, which is the source of life for all. In the wake of the cross, one finds the revelation of a hidden wisdom which, in turn, opens to everyone a way to holiness, to the joy of living and to liberation from evil.
